Become a mentor

The Mentor Project provides one-to-one contact between people living successfully with a transplant and people who are new or adjusting to the world of transplantation.

"Being a mentor has given me a chance to help others and to keep my gift going."

The Mentor Project provides one-to-one contact between people living successfully with a transplant and people who are new or adjusting to the world of transplantation. Transplant recipients, living donors, caregivers, and parents of pediatric recipients can all be trained mentors. They are individuals who have a desire to help support others through the transplant process, and are often the “face of hope” for anyone facing transplant.

To be considered as a mentor, you must be six months post-transplant/living donation, a Georgia resident, living successfully after transplant/donation and able to complete a one-day training workshop (in person or virtually, based upon when it is being offered).
